Over at GovTech’s Cyber Security Group (CSG); we are the cybersecurity arm of GovTech and is committed to creating a safe and secure digital government. We defend Government agencies from cyber threats to ensure that they can execute their functions effectively in cyberspace and uphold citizens’ trust in all digital Government services.

What you will be working on:

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer who is passionate about building up threat detection and response capabilities for the Government Cybersecurity Operations Center (GCSOC). We build products to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our threat detection and response capabilities using leading-edge technologies. Additionally, we seek to enhance our security capabilities at scale, for all Government agencies across different ecosystems, platforms, and applications.

• We think big - The solutions that we deploy will be used at scale to serve the whole of Government. Having robust and resilient products backed by operational excellence is important.
• We start small - Before we scale up a product, we build prototypes or a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and examine its reliability, effectiveness, scalability, usability, and maintainability. We fail fast to move towards a superior product or approach.
• We act fast - We recognise that we will never fully understand unexplored territories. Learning new architectures, frameworks, technologies, and even languages will be essential. We are biased for action to quickly identify potential problems early and secure mindshare fast.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology/Security, Communications, or other related disciplines
• Strong technical background in DevOps and Cloud implementation
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Experience with commonly used DevOps tools such as Git, Docker, Gitlab CI etc
• Knowledge and experience in cloud design and architecture, and security practices/technique
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-Motivated and team player
• Strong skills in Terraform/CloudFormation, Python, Bash
• Cloud computing deployment and management experience - AWS, Azure, GCP
• Professional certification in DevOps and/or related in either AWS, Azure or Google
